Quick and Easy Pizza Dough

Quick and Easy Pizza Dough This is a very decent little pizza dough.  It's on par with the refrigerated variety, just a bit different texture. Quick and Easy Pizza Dough 1 packet (2½ teaspoons) dry yeast 3/4 cup warm water 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place warm water in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle with yeast and allow to set for 5 minutes. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt and sugar. Add flour mixture to yeast mixture and stir until just blended. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 3 minutes. Place dough in a bowl coated with olive oil, turning dough to coat with oil on all sides. Cover dough and let rise in a warm place for 15 minutes. Stretch dough to fit a pan. Top dough with sauce and toppings of your choice. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and done.

Garlic Chicken Pizza

Garlic Chicken Pizza I created this pizza by using some of our favorite parts of other pizza recipes.  We all thought it was really good!  Garlic Chicken Pizza 1 refrigerated pizza dough (I made Quick and Easy Pizza Dough for this.) 1 pound chicken breasts, grilled or sauteed and cut into bite-sized pieces 1 onion, cut in rings 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (I use fat-free.) 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 cup mushroom, sliced 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pat dough into pizza pan. Brush with olive oil. Sauté onions until golden brown. Sauté mushrooms until tender. Combine the cream cheese and olive oil until smooth; add garlic and stir. Spread cream cheese mixture onto pizza crust. Top with the chicken, onions, mushrooms and cheeses. Bake for 15 minutes or until the crust is done and the cheese is melted.
