Praline-topped Brownies Praline-topped Brownies As the name implies, this dessert is a basically a brownie topped with a praline. Very rich! And, very good! Prepare a 9x13-inch pan of brownies, according to package directions, using “cake-like” instructions. Cool. Icing: 2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar 2/3 cup half-and-half, evaporated milk or whipping cream ½ cup butter 2 cups sifted powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups coarsely chopped pecans, toasted Melt butter in a 3-quart saucepan. Add brown sugar and half-and-half and bring to a boil: stir often. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat; whisk in sifted powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add toasted pecans.
