HAPPY FALL, Y’ALL!!
Can you believe we’re already well into October?!
The past few months have been very busy, crazy ones for our family. We have dealt with some very stressful and difficult situations, but we’ve also had some fun and wonderful events and opportunities, as well. All have eaten away at the hours, days, weeks, months – and almost another year!

Thank you for all your prayers and concerns for my dad. He is recovering well from his surgery and will not have to have treatments! God is good!!
I have missed sharing recipes and visiting with my blogging friends. Time remains very tight with us, as I am sure it does for everyone. I do hope to try to catch up on you guys and to get back to swapping a few recipes with you, too!
Many blessings to you all and many thanks for your kindness and concern ~ Connie
This quote was in our Sunday School book this morning. It really spoke to me.
I thought I'd share it with you guys:
"The solution to sin is not to impose an ever-stricter code of behavior. It is to know God."
~ Philip Yancey
Nutty Candy Squares
I made this candy using vanilla flavored candy coating and Planters mixed nuts for Sunday School this morning. Several folks said it reminded them of a Zero candy bar!
1 1/2 lbs. vanilla or chocolate flavored candy coating
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
3 cups coarsely chopped salted, roasted nuts
In heavy saucepan over low heat melt candy coating with sweetened condensed milk.
Remove from heat; stir in nuts.
Spread evenly into wax paper-lined 15 x 10-inch jelly pan.
Chill 2 hours or until firm. (If time permits, you can just allow to harden at room temperature.)
Turn onto cutting board, peel off wax paper and cut into squares.
Store tightly covered at room temperature.
Welcome back! These look yummy. I've been checking every day hoping to see you - yay!
