I made these for Sunday school this morning, and they seemed to be a hit!

Sausage Squares
1 pound sausage, browned, drained and slightly cooled
2 1/2 c. Bisquick
1 pound sausage, browned, drained and slightly cooled
2 1/2 c. Bisquick
3 cups shredded cheese (one variety or a combination)
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup Miracle Whip (or mayo)
3/4 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
Cook sausage and set aside to cool.
Combine last 5 ingredients until moistened. Stir in sausage.
Spoon mixture into prepared pan.* Bake for about 45 minutes, or until golden brown.

*At this point, batter can be tightly covered and refrigerated. Just pop it into the oven the next morning!
YUM! I will have to try this breakfast casserole. Mine never turns out moist!!
ReplyDeleteI halved the recipe last night and baked it for breakfast this a.m. in a square cake pan for forty minutes. While we enjoyed it, I think next time I'll use "hot" sausage. Jason took the leftovers with him to share with coworkers at McCoy's Gro. in Ecru.
