Simple Cream Cheese Brownies
This is an easy way to dress up a quick batch of brownies!
1 (20-23 oz.) pkg. brownie mix
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
If using nuts, toss them with dry brownie mix, coating the nuts well. Proceed to make brownies according to directions on the box. Remove1/2 cup brownie batter; set aside.
Combine cream and sugar, mixing until well blended. Blend in egg and vanilla.
Spread brownie batter (minus the ½ cup) onto bottom of 13x9 inch baking pan that’s been coated with cooking spray.
Top with cream cheese mixture.
Spoon on dollops of reserved batter. Cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cream cheese mixture is lightly browned. Cool; cut in small squares.
